DAY 01: Arrive Delhi International Flight
Upon arrival in Delhi you will be met and assisted by our company representative at airport. After traditional welcome transfer to your hotel. Welcome dinner will be arranged at local restaurant in Chor bazaar. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 02: In Delhi
After breakfast proceed for guided city tour of Old and New Delhi. Begin your day with an exploration starting in Old Delhi which was the capital of Muslim India between the 17th and 19th centuries. Visit Jama Masjid, the Royal Mosque which was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in 1656. Enjoy a cycle rickshaw ride through the narrow lanes followed by a short walk in the main street of Old Delhi – the colourful shopping bazaar known as Chandni Chowk. Drive past the Red Fort (a UNESCO World Heritage site) built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. Proceed for a brief visit to Raj Ghat, the Mahatma Gandhi memorial. In the afternoon visit New Delhi – the imperial city created by the British as the capital of India. In 1911, Edwin Lutyens, the most renowned English architect of the day, was chosen to design New Delhi. The Rashtrapathi Bhawan is where the Viceroy once lived and now is the official residence of the President of India. View India Gate, a war memorial arch built in honor of 90,000 Indian soldiers who lost their lives in World War I. Visit Humayun’s Tomb & Qutub Minar (a UNESCO World Heritage site), a soaring tower of victory which is 72.5 metres high and has five distinct stories & tour ends with a visit Gurudwara Bangla Sahib (Sikh temple). Day 03: Delhi / Agra (3 hrs / 200km)
After breakfast, proceed to Agra by Surface (4 hours, 210 km). Enroute visit Sikandra, The Tomb of Emperor Akbar The Great. Later proceed to visit one of the seven wonders of the world The Taj Mahal. Vegetarian lunch in a restaurant (on direct payment) and later visit the huge Agra Fort, the predessor of the Red Fort in New Delhi. Evening at leisure. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 04: Agra / Jaipur Via Fatehpur Sikri (5 hrs / 250 km)
Morning drive to Jaipur en route visit Fatehpur Sikri Fatehpur Sikri the deserted, red sandstone city that was built by Emperor Akbar as his capital and palace in the 16th century. Also visit the Bulund Darwaza the largest gateway in Asia. Thereafter continue drive to Jaipur. Arrival in Jaipur and transfer to your hotel. Check in at the hotel and later proceed to visit the City Palace in the afternoon, which is still the formal residence of the royal family. Also drive past Hawa Mahal, The Palace of Winds and the City Palace Museum that has the private collection of the Maharajas of Jaipur. We also visit Jantar Mantar, a stone observatory, which is the largest of Jai Singh’s five remarkable observatories. Overnight stay at the hotel in Jaipur. Overnight in hotel.
Day 05: In Jaipur
After breakfast we proceed to visit the Amber Fort, located 11 kilometers away from Jaipur. Amber was the ancient capital of Kachawaha dynasty before Jai Singh founded Jaipur. Ride an elephant to reach the gates of the fort. In the afternoon drive past the colorful Bazaar of Jaipur and visit a souvenir shop to buy a few souvenirs for future memories. In the evening we drive through the new city of Jaipur and visit Laxmi Narayan Mandir- a Hindu temple built in white marble. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 06: Drive Jaipur / Mandawa approx. 170 km, 3 hrs
After breakfast, check out from the Hotel & drive to Mandawa. On arrival check in at the hotel, relax and later proceed for half day sightseeing of Mandawa. A small town situated in the heart of Shekhawati region. Mandawa is well-known for its Havelies, fort palaces and fresco art. Upon arrive check into hotel & later enjoy the village walk and see how the clay potteries are made by Indian potters. The most important places to see are Chokhani, Ladia, Binsidhar Newatia, and Gulab Rai Ladia Haveli. Another haveli, the Binsidhar Newatia Haveli, is known for its curious paintings. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 07: Drive Mandawa / Bikaner approx. 190 km, 3 hrs 15 min
After breakfast, check out from the Hotel & drive to Bikaner (250 km, 5 hours). Check in at Hotel Raj Vilas Palace in Bikaner for overnight stay. Visit Junagarh Fort, Bhandasar Jain Temples, enjoy sunset views of the desert and taste the camel’s milk and ride on its back at the world-famous National Camel Breeding Farm. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 08: Drive Bikaner / Jaisalmer approx. 331 km, 5 hrs 15 min
After breakfast, check out from the Hotel & drive through the rural and desert landscape and proceed to Jaisalmer. Jaisalmer is a marvel of beautiful culture and the city is one of the most exotic cities of Rajasthan. We straightaway drive to SAM Dunes some 40 km away & enjoy the camel cart ride to the Sunset Point. Take the camel safari and explore the true life and delights of the desert. Immerse in the spirit of Rajasthan all through the night by staying in the Tents, meeting warm rustic people of Rajasthan and have a touch of their culture with their haunting music, folk dance and singing performances and other cultural programs. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 09 – Drive Jaisalmer – Jodhpur. Approx. 270 km, 4hrs, 30 min
After breakfast, check out from the Tents & drive to Jodhpur in the early morning. Jodhpur is the second largest city in Rajasthan and is also known as the blue city as most of the houses of the old city are painted blue. The old city is surrounded by a 10 km long wall, which has 101 bastions and seven gates. Upon arrival checkin at Hotel Kothi Heritage. Later we go on sightseeing tour of Jodhpur to visit the Mehrangarh Fort, which was built on a steep hill. The fort is among the best in India with exquisitely latticed windows in residential complexes. Later proceed to visit the Jaswant Thada, a royal cenotaph built in white marble. You also stroll down the markets of Jodhpur. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 10 Drive Jodhpur – Udaipur. Approx 250 km, 4 to 5 hrs.
After breakfast, check out from the Hotel & drive to Udaipur. Scenic drive through villages and small towns Enroute visit Ranakpur Temples. Upon arrival Check in at your hotel. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 11 – Udaipur
After breakfast, start your sightseeing tour with a visit to Sahelion-Ki-Bari. Then proceed to visit the Museum of folk art, which has a rich collection of folk dresses, puppets, dolls, masks, ornaments, folk musical instruments and paintings on display. Afterwards visit the City Palace, one of the biggest palace complex in India, where four generations of Maharajas added mansions and palaces. You also visit the museum of the palace, which includes the beautiful peacock mosaic and miniature wall paintings of Indian mythology. In the evening take a boat ride (Optional and not included in the cost) on lake Pichola. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 12 – Drive Udaipur – Pushkar. Approx. 270 – 300 km, 5 hrs, 30 min
After breakfast, check out from the Hotel & drive to Pushkar, one of the most important pilgrimage places of Hindus, which is famed for having the only temple dedicated to Lord Brahma in the world. At Pushkar, visit the famous Brahma Temple. See the hindus take a holy dip in the Pushkar Lake and visit its 52 bathing Ghats and more than 500 temples, each having its own legends of miraculous powers and powers of healing and displaying variety of architectural styles. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 13 – Drive Pushkar – Delhi IGI International Airport for flight to onward destination.
